Daniel becomes the first two time official World Champion. For his reward, he chose to help design Galactic Guardians #044 Shriek, again, not exactly fitting into the set theme. That seems to be a theme with Daniel, though I’m sure he’s okay with it.

This year also saw our first, and last, official Golden Age World Champion. Jake Williams won and helped design Flash #046 Harley Quinn. While many people had a very strong reaction to the appearance of the sculpt, it was based on a moment from the Arkham Asylum games by Rockstar, where Harley Quinn has someone tied up in a chair and is menacing him. The clix sculpt appears less menacing. This year also marks the last time that the champions would appear as fully sculpted figures in their pieces.

Ross Yudis was able to help design ATA #114 X-Men (Utopia) due to his US Nationals win. I miss ATAs.
