Welcome to the Clix Almanac

Hello Heroclix players and collectors around the world. Welcome to this modest little corner of the Clix universe that intends to celebrate and catalogue Clixtory.

The thought occurred to me within the last few years how much of the history of Heroclix is just hearsay. And while yes, old rules, dust ups at events and the “sets that never were” are fine living on as rumors. But there was no place that celebrated our champions, our historical events and all the wonderful moments that make Heroclix a one of a kind game.

So I changed that. Right now, you can click on Championship History and read about all the Official Wizkids Major Champions that I could verify (National level events and up). Right now you can click on Print and Play and browse, in a Google Drive, every official Print and Play document that Wizkids ever released. In the coming weeks and months, you’ll be able to check back here or click on Clixtory and find event reports, press releases and articles from the history of the game.

In the coming months and years, I’m going to personally try to sit down with some long time members of the Heroclix community, maybe even some that worked with or for Wizkids and see what they’re willing to share.

But enough about me, let’s talk about you. This game has existed since May 1, 2002. That’s a lot of time, a lot of players and a lot of figures. This is only going to work if all of you reading this are willing to help, because I’m just one man. So, to that end: the biggest thing that I can use are links. I want every Champion’s entry to be as robust as Maggott’s. So, if you happen to remember a podcast, or article, or video that a former champion made about their win or their figure, please use the “Submit Comments and Corrections” Google Form to send that over. I will be happy to add it to their entry.

And if you spot a misspelling or have some hard evidence for a past Official Wizkids Champion (National level or higher), please feel free to send it over.

Thanks for reading and I look forward to making Clixtory together.

I’ve updated the site so that now you have to be logged in to comment. Doing so should default you to a “subscriber” status that will send you updates when I post. If this doesn’t work, I will investigate other options.
