Chef is ultimately a story about a man connecting with his son and realizing that living your passion is not enough if you cannot live it the way you want. And like a lot of indie movies, it follows a somewhat unconventional story arc.

• You enjoy a movie that takes its time getting to the point and doesn’t rush it
• You like seeing a tattooed Scarlett Johnasson

• You prefer a tight narrative over character work
• You want a dense story with a lot going on
• You want a lot of special effects
• You’re on a diet
