According to T-Ray, he was born Wade Winston Wilson. He met his future wife Mercedes while attending university in Calgary and marrying her after they both achieved teaching degrees. While vacationing in Maine, he met a young man called Jack (who T-Ray claimed would go on to become Deadpool) on the run from his employers. After bringing the young man back to his cabin, Jack revealed that he was going to kill Wilson and his wife in order to assume his identity and leave his employers with the wrong man. T-Ray somehow survived the murder attempt, remaing conscious enough for Jack’s employers to arrive. T-Ray asked them to teach him how to kill like the young man so that he could have his revenge. After they finished doing this, T-Ray promptly killed them.

T-Ray then traveled to Japan and studied sorcery, managing to trade his soul for more power to beings he only referred to as ‘Dark Masters.’ Once he began acting as an assassin, he began to offer the souls of his victims to these masters, as well. Eventually, T-Ray learned of Deadpool’s hangout/assignment house, Hellhouse, and traveled there to enact his revenge. However, rather than simply killing Deadpool outright, T-Ray chose to humiliate him by being a better mercenary as well as playing cruel pranks on Deadpool.

T-Ray became powerful enough to resurrect Mercedes Wilson, the woman both Deadpool and T-Ray believed to be their dead wife, and hired Bullseye to place her in harm’s way during one of Deadpool’s missions. Deadpool saw her and began to protect her, hoping this meant that they had been given a second chance together. It was at this point that T-Ray revealed his version of events and transformed Mercedes into an albino form like his own, as well as many apparitions of Deadpool’s victims. This attempt to demoralize Deadpool failed and the two battled, with T-Ray eventually leaving with Mercedes.

T-Ray was later hired by Thanos (or one of his clones) to resurrect Deadpool with the Gemini Star. The relic worked, but created several entities all calling themselves Deadpool but made from different pieces of his psyche. During Deadpool’s investigation of these other Deadpools, the Gemini Star was disturbed and the aspects were sent into T-Ray’s mind, overwhelming him.

After Deadpool began helping Agency X, T-Ray captured Outlaw and Sandi Brandenberg to draw out Deadpool and Agent X. Deadpool confronted T-Ray alone and the two battled, with T-Ray trying to make Deadpool doubt his identity and resorting to his black magics when that failed. T-Ray ran Deadpool through with a magically empowered sword that stopped his healing factor. Still trying to break the man, T-Ray offered him the choice of running and leaving the two women to die or continuing to fight and risk his own death. With little thought, Deadpool seemingly killed T-Ray with a katana to the head.

Deadpool was later hired by Dr. Strange to uncover a strange anomaly that was threatening reality. It turned out that the katana Deadpool used on T-Ray actually absorbed his enemy’s magic into it. Deadpool was forced to resurrect T-Ray and battle him in order to save the universe. Though Deadpool won the fight, T-Ray lived to fight another day.
