Today we look at that ancient reptilian race: The Badoon

The Badoon are a race older than the Kree and Skrulls. As they evolved, a hatred formed between the two genders and resulted in numerous and lengthy gender wars. Eventually, the males won and placed the females in captivity, returning only when it was necessary to continue the species. The males (the Brotherhood of Badoon) went on to become conquerors of worlds while the females (Sisterhood of Badoon) became pacifists and lived in peace on Lotiara.

The Brotherhood battled against the Zen Whoberi and the world of Polemachus, as well as against the Shi’ar – alongside the Brood, and the Skrulls -alongside the Kree. When the Brood tried to invade Earth multiple times, they were turned back by the Silver Surfer, Namor, New Warriors, X-Men, the Fantastic Four and Arkon.

At the time of the Annihilation Wave, the Badoon Empire had control of roughly 38% of the Milky Way Galaxy. Despite this vast empire, they are often seen as minimal threats in modern times. Major Victory has repeatedly warned that the Badoon become a massive threat in the far flung future he comes from. Shadows of this are realized when the Inhumans, ruling over the Kree, form an alliance with the Badoon, Centaurians, Dire Wraiths and Kymellians.
