Today we look at the son of the Avengers‘ Dr. Druid: Druid

Sebastian Druid is the son of Doctor Druid. He seeks out Dr. Strange in hopes that the mystical hero will teach him about his newly found powers. However, Daisy Johnson, under the direction of Nick Fury, finds him first and informs him that his powers are not actually magical in nature. Sebastian has monster DNA which means his powers are more chemical in nature. Daisy then offers him a place on Team White as part of Nick Fury’s Caterpillars which Sebastian accepts. While Sebastian tries his best, he ultimately makes too many mistakes and is sent home by Nick Fury.
Disappointed in missing his big chance to be a hero, Sebastian is dejected upon his arrival home. His mood quickly changes when he finds John Garrett, another friend and agent of Nick Fury, in his home waiting for him. Garrett and Druid spend the next two months training and getting Sebastian into better physical shape. Once John feels he is ready, he takes Sebastian on training missions to further Fury’s goals such as destroying helicarrier debris before the Chinese can get it and creating a magic bullet that can be fired through solid surfaces so Garrett can assassinate a Leviathan agent and frame Hydra.
After Fury’s assault on the Hydra base Gehenna, Sebastian is in the plane that recovers the surviving members of the team. Hydra jets pursue them and Druid proves his worth, ignoring Fury’s plans and uses his powers to destroy all of the jets by himself. The team return to Fury’s base, Excalibur, where John Garret tells Sebastian how proud he is of him. Unfortunately, the Gehenna mission left Hellfire and Phobos dead, Eden in a coma and Daisy Johnson hearbroken. As a result, the Caterpillar team that Sebastian belongs to is disbanded.
SHIELD is restarted under the direction of Daisy Johnson. Daisy recruits many of the Caterpillars, including Druid. After Ex Nihilo’s seeding of Earth, Druid is recruited to deal with the city of the dead in Italy and helps the Black Knight defeat Morgana La Fey.
