Gim Allon is mutated after contact with a radioactive meteorite and gains the ability to increase his size. Adopting the codename Colossal Boy, he joins the Legion of Super-Heroes with his parents’ blessing. He has a long standing crush on fellow Legionnaire Shrinking Violet. Eventually Violet returns his love and the two are married. However, this Violet is eventually revealed to a shapeshifting impostor Durlan named Yera. Even when Yera is revealed, Gim discovers he is still in love with Yera and so the pair remained married.

Following the Magic Wars, Gim joins the Science Police and never returns to the Legion.

After the events of Zero Hour changed time, Gim Allon was never Colossal Boy. Though he still gains his powers from a meteorite, he is from Mars and uses the code-name Leviathan. Leviathan acts as the Legion’s first official leader but quickly resigns the role because he believes Cosmic Boy is better suited. Cosmic Boy still requests that Leviathan remains as deputy leader.

This version of Allon is in love with Kinetix while this timeline’s Shrinking Violet is in love with him. This ends in tragedy when Violet wishes for the Emerald Eye to give every team member their heart’s desire. Leviathan than dies in battle with Dr. Regulus because he always wanted a heroic death.

After the Infinite Crisis, the future seems to be set more in line with Gim’s original timeline. His wife Yera has joined the Legion using the code-name Chameleon Girl.
