Professor Honeycutt is a scientist of the alien Federation that has gone into semi-retirement on the planet, D’Hoonib. Though the Federation is militaristic in nature, Honeycutt is a peace loving man that hopes to improve the lives of all living being. The Federation General Blanque, stationed on D’Hoonib, has other ideas. He believes that Honeycutt’s latest invention, an advanced teleporter, needs to be used for militaristic applications.
Honeycutt is pressured into building a special teleporter module for the Federation to use against the Triceraton Republic. Honeycutt soon dons a prototype of a special helmet that grants him telepathic and telekinetic powers and accidentally begins broadcasting to his android assistant, SAL, who is caught in a tangle of electrical cables. An electrical storm breaks out and lightning strikes both beings, trapping Honeycutt’s personality in SAL’s body. Blanque soon arrives to find SAL functioning and the Professor’s inanimate body. The general assumes that SAL killed the Professor and gives chase to the fleeing Honeycutt. Honeycutt is now classifed as a fugitive android or Fugitoid for short.
Fugitoid manages to escape Blanque but is soon captured by slave traders and sold at an auction. Blanque soon learns the truth of Honeycutt’s continued life in the android body and shares his plans with his assistant, who is secretly a Triceraton mole.
Now the Fugitoid is hunted by the Federation as well as the Triceratons. Just as about the Triceratons are about to capture the Fugitoid, the Ninja Turtles appear in front of him by an Utrom Teleporter. Both the Federation and the Triceratons assume that the Turtles are allies of the Fugitoid and begin to hunt them as well. Once the Turtles learn Honeycutt’s story, they join his fight.
The Utroms soon discover the Turtles accidental use of their teleporter and use it to bring the Turtles and Honeycutt to Earth. The Utroms explain themselves and then leave the Earth, offering Honeycutt asylum.
The Turtles later visit the Utrom home world after an invitation from Honeycutt. Soon after they arrive a space station is attacked by Triceratons. The Turtles help repel the invasion. Years later, the Utroms welcome Earth into a galactic alliance and Honeycutt returns to visit with his old friends.
