Her first adventure as Stunner leads to her wrecking a bar full of men before battling and defeating Spider-Man. The pair unmask Spidey and discover his secret identity, planning on an elaborate plan that is foiled by the arrival of Kaine who proceeds to kill Doctor Octopus. She attempts to enact revenge against Kaine but that plan eventually proves fruitless. Depressed, she gives up being Stunner and returns to being a video store clerk.
Lady Octopus later recruits Angelina into a plan to resurrect Doctor Octopus alongside The Rose, Delilah and The Hand. Angelina becomes Stunner once more and offers her virtual body as the human sacrifice needed to bring Otto back. While the sacrifice works, it also results in Stunner dissolving and Angelina falling into a coma.
Otto learns of this and builds a shrine to Stunner, while she lays in a coma. When he faces death once more, he trades bodies with Peter Parker and becomes the Superior Spider-Man. Soon after, Angelina wakes from her coma and becomes Stunner again, vowing vengeance on Spider-Man for the death of Otto. While Otto, in Spider-Man’s body, tries to calm Stunner down, her rage is too great and she does not listen to reason. Feeling he has no other choice, Otto subdues her and shuts down the virtual reality machine.
Becoming more comfortable in his new life, Otto retrieves his VR machine and creates a virtual construct of Otto Octavius. Using the construct, he convinces Angelina that he is still alive and breaks up with Angelina. He claims to have found a new love but swears he will always care for Angelina. This leaves Angelina in tears in her apartment. Alone.
