As a child, Lei Ling dreams of flying every night until one day she finds that she can manipulate the very air around her. This makes her dreams into a reality and allows to her to become a superhero. Adopting the name Aero, she is mentored by Madame Huang. As a civilian, she founds an architecture firm and names it Sacred Tree Designs.
After some time, Aero feels summoned to the North Pacific. While there, she finds the fellow hero Wave. A whirlpool forms and knocks them both unconscious before demons begin to emerge from the ocean waters. This is a ploy by the demons to leave Shanghai defenseless. The ruse ultimately proves fruitless, however, as the demons are destroyed by a fire god.
She joins other heroes in battling Lady Lotus and travels to another universe, before returning home. Aero eventually discovers that she is an Inhuman. This leads to her being in Attilan when Lin Feng attacks it. Aero joins Iron Fist in defending the city.
