And just like that, Al Ewing gives us a better Superman than anything DC‘s published for years. Hyperion, a super powerful being reminiscing about his father and the importance of parents, while a z-list villain seems to be absconding with his long lost son. And while we get a view of Hyperions supergod powers, we reach the inevitable showdown. And rather than using violence, Hyperion solves the problem by simply being stronger in body, mind, and moral courage.
This is why I love Hyperion.
