Officer Langer becomes frustrated with criminals using loopholes in the law to escape justice. To that end, he adopts a costumed identity. He encounters the Turtles after they set out to Northampton as a result of boredom. They encounter Nobody while he chases a truck and is involved in a dangerous shoot out. After being shot, he tells the Turtles to follow the truck. They hesitate and so Nobody shows them his police badge. They all follow the truck to BFR Trucking where Nobody reveals the details of the case.

BFR transports cargo for Ruffington Arms who, in turn, is a munitions company selling their excess weapons on the black market. Together, Nobody and the Turtles take down the arms ring. After they leave, Donatello gives the hero his moniker Nobody, because Nobody never told them his name. He runs into the Turtles a few more times, including confronting a gang that is determined to kill an old man.

When Casey Jones descends into alcoholism after accidentally killing a teenage pickpocket, Nobody helps Casey find his way. Nobody helps protect Jones’ abandoned farm and helps the Turtles rescue Raphael from DARPA. He also aids them against a giant mutant Asteroidean. During the battle, one of Asteroidean’s appendages impales Nobody and pulls him into its mouth.
Years later, Nobody returns to help Casey Jones and a mutated Raphael. He now claims to be the Herald with new and strange cosmic powers gained while inside the Asteroidean’s stomach. It turns out that the Asteroidean was afraid of the coming Triceratons and had actually ingested Nobody in order to imbue him with these new powers so that he can protect her. This was interrupted, however, when Casey Jones destroyed her and so Nobody was left in suspended animation. He explains that Asteroidean is a benevolent being hunted across the Multiverse by evil. He now takes his charge of protecting her seriously.
