The Angle Man is a straight-forward villain, uncommon in these days and times. He needs to have an unbeatable angle involved in any crime he commits. These schemes brought him into conflict with Wonder Woman multiple times. After Darkseid forms the Secret Society of Super Villains, he recruits Angle Man and outfits him with the Angler. This triangle allows Angle Man to warp time and space in a multitude of ways. This Angle Man dies during the Crisis on Infinite Earths.

Post-Crisis

Angle Man reappears on the New Earth as Angelo Bend, an Italian master thief that uses his special Angler device to similar ends as the Pre-Crisis Angle Man. These capers cause him to run afoul of Donna Troy and after she is able to capture him, he develops a crush on the Amazon. His crush reaches a point that when he is savagely attacked by Barbara Minerva, possessed by a Fury, he transports himself to Themyscira to seek Donna Troy’s help. He mourns Donna during her death and is next seen among the team formed by Devastation to battle Young Justice.

The Secret Society of Super-Villains forms again and begins operating in Gotham’s East end. This brings him into conflict with Catwoman, who is attempting to infiltrate the team. Angle Man savagely attacks her and stabs her in the head with a triangle blade, only for her to reveal herself as a new Clayface helping the real Catwoman. The real Catwoman extracts her revenge from Angle Man with a baseball bat.

One year later, Angle Man has become obsessed with Catwoman and is hell bent on revenge. Unbeknownst to him, Selina Kyle has ceased being Catwoman and passed the mantle onto her friend Holly Robinson. He battles the new Catwoman and is defeated once again. Film Freak, a new villain, teams up with Angle Man and figures out that Selina Kyle was the original Catwoman. Angle Man and Film Freak attack Selina and Angle Man even threatens to kill Selina’s baby. Righteously enraged, Selina calls in Zatanna who mind wipes the villains so that they forget Selina’s identity and home address. Zatanna even makes Angle Man confess all his crimes to Gotham PD.

Angle Man is later seen as part of Circe’s army that attacks Wonder Woman. Diana’s allies arrive and help the hero repel the villains. Angle Man is defeated and brought into custody by Robin.
